The 777 Tarot

To accompany publication of the 777 Tarot Cards, we are proud to present a manual and guide book for their interpretation.

The 777 Tarot is inspired by a unique and historic pack handed down to Amado Crowley from his maternal grandmother.

The accompanying book explains the significance of the cards and the correct way to interpret them. A free preview of the book is available; you can also buy it online.

The Cards

As explained in The Wrath of Aleister Crowley, Amado has a unique pack of hand-painted cards, that once belonged to his maternal grandmother. She got them from her father, and he got them from his mother. Tradition says that they must pass from male to female, and female to male. Amado used these cards as the inspiration for his own original set.

This deck is half as large again as any that you might know. To avoid confusion, the cards have been published in two separate packs.

The Alpha Pack contains the same 78 cards that feature in other decks. Though the design and names may be new, you can use them in the customary way.

The Beta Pack contains all the cards that may be new to you:

two extra suits of 14 cards each: Acorns and Crowns
five extra cards in the Major Arcana
You do not have to make use of them, but if you do – mingling the two packs together – then all meanings change quite significantly. To explore the deeper potential of the 777 Tarot, you should then study and consult the manual.

The Book

The book is divided into three sections:

Background Information
The book begins by explaining the origin of the cards and their uniqueness. It gives sound practical advice for charging and caring for them, and explains the best and proper way of doing a reading.

The Suits

Each of the one hundred and eleven cards is then described, alongside a full colour reproduction of the card, and their interpretation is discussed.

The cards you once knew well may now take on a new sense. A few may take on a meaning that is the direct opposite. Reversed cards may invite special consideration, while certain “runs” may attract a distinctive connotation because of their colour sequence.

Appendix – the Original Cards

At the end of the book, the original cards are reproduced for comparison. Clicking on any card links directly to the page dealing with the corresponding new card and its interpretation.
